Dr. Lauren Yi

Dr. Lauren Yi, MD is a dermatologist committed to providing compassionate, evidenced-based care. Her clinical interests include the prevention, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of skin cancer, as well as the management of acne, eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, alopecia, and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Yi grew up in Springfield, Virginia. She attended the College of William & Mary where she was a James Monroe Scholar and a member of the swim team, graduating summa cum laude with a major in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry. She earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then completed her internship in internal medicine and dermatology residency at the University of Virginia and also served as academic chief resident during her final year.

During residency, Dr. Yi completed additional training at Yonsei University Gangnam Severance Hospital in Seoul, South Korea with a focus on cosmetic dermatology, the diagnosis and treatment of acral melanoma, and the use of lasers for scar management.

In her final year of residency, Dr. Yi was awarded the Anne L. Brodie Resident Clinician Award in recognition of her persistence and dedication to patient care, particularly in complex, treatment-resistant inflammatory skin diseases.

Dr. Yi is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Medical Association, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles.

She lives in Arlington and enjoys spending time with her family and her yorkie, Rudy.
